Larger and more powerful than other Lotus vehicles offered in the US and able to carry two (small) people in the rear, the 2010 Evora is Lotus' all-new 2+2 mid-engine coupe. In keeping with Lotus tradition, the new car employs innovative lightweight chassis technology to ensure all-round dynamic performance. The Evora's light-weight aluminum chassis, four-wheel-independent suspension, Eibach coil springs, Bilstein shock absorbers, AP Racing/Brembo brakes and Pirelli P-Zero performance tires combine to provide precise handling. The Evora is powered by a Lotus-tuned and Toyota sourced 276 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine with a six-speed manual transmission. Recaro sport seats, leather and aluminum interior trim, and an Alpine CD/MP3/WMA stereo system with iPod connectivity are standard. The optional Tech Pack includes an Alpine Mobile Media Station, Alpine BlackBird navigation, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and tire pressure monitoring. The available Sport Pack includes a switchable sports mode featuring enhanced throttle response and RPM limit, sports traction control mode with increased yaw and slip thresholds, sports diffuser, titanium exhaust tips, cross-drilled brake discs and black painted brake calipers.
